Born from a retail problem
In 2023, we opened Mararamiro, a home decor retail store in Toronto's west end. We needed plinths to display our products, simple, well-made, white plinths. The kind you see in galleries and high-end boutiques.
What we found instead: mass-produced options with visible seams and cheap finishes. Or custom fabricators with 6-week lead times and $500 minimums for a single piece.
So we built our own. Then a friend asked if we could build some for their event. Then a stylist. Then a gallery.
In 2023, we launched Plinth Supply to do one thing well: build beautiful, functional display plinths and make them easy to order.
